The Herb Station is designed and manufactured in Christchurch, New Zealand. Robyn Henderson, a successful landscape artist and mother of two, designed the original Living Herb Holder after she and a friend were discussing how the fresh living herbs bought from the supermarket always wilted and died in a glass of water or in the fridge. With the help from her family, Robyn designed a stylish, nickel plated, wire cannister which held the herbs upright and allowed them to breathe and stay fresh longer.

Living herbs can be bought from Supermarkets or Fresh Produce Stores either in soil or with bare roots. Both can be contained in the Herb Station by removing the cellophane and if soil based, remove the plastic pot. Place the roots in the tin base of your holder. The key to extending the value of your living herbs and therefore more delicious food is keeping the water fresh. Water the herb a sprinkling each day if soil based and replace the water daily for bare roots herbs.

Keep the herbs at hand for cooking but out of direct sunlight. You can extend the life of your asparagus too by placing them in the Herb Station and changing the water daily. In fact some people have found that the Herb Station can keep herbs so fresh that they last for weeks, even months.
