Q1. How much is freight for Baby Desserts? The Freight structure is based upon a Regional Rate Plan to reflect the fluctuating fuel surcharges, and includes all packaging & handling. If you choose the wrong freight when ordering, we will always contact you with the correct freight or charge the cheaper rate before sending out your order.

Please note that Little Memories Tree Gifts are sent from Upper Hutt and if ordered after 12 noon on Thursday will not be sent out until the following Monday to avoid sitting in a courier depot all weekend.

Q2. What do you mean by flavours or ingredients may differ from pictured product? Flavours refer to the colour of the ingredients such as clothing, cloths, bibs, socks etc and this may vary due to the availability of colour shades from our stockists. We will always endeavour to follow the recipe and provide you with the key pink, blue, purple, yellow and white colours but the shades may differ to the picture for example hot pink versus soft pink. With regards to ingredients for the Baby Birthcake we will always provide each of the items listed but this may also vary due to stock availability, for example, a book might substitute a photo frame for the fun/educational item. An item may be replaced by a product of equal or greater value at no additional cost.

Q3. How do I order a product from Baby Desserts? Easily, you can use the shopping cart feature on our website to purchase any of our products. Simply click on the "Buy Now" button next to the item/s you wish to purchase and they will be placed in your virtual shopping cart. Then click onto either "Return to Products" to continue shopping or "Continue to Checkout" to make a credit card purchase. At anytime you may "View Cart" to see how many items you have selected and or click on the "Checkout" button at the menu bar above when you're ready to pay.

If you change your mind at any stage you can click on "Modify Basket" and either change the quantity or click on the [ X ] to delete the item. Please use the "Contact Us" option in the above menu if you have any problems or Ph 0800 222 944 for more help.

Q4. Is it safe to give you my credit card details? Definitely, we use a secure payment service on the Baby Desserts website which encrypts your details providing safe trading. We will not disclose your details to any outside companies or persons without your consent, unless required by law. We respect and value your privacy as our customer. If you prefer you can either phone or fax your details to us on 0800 222 944.

Q5. Can I purchase your product from outside of New Zealand? Certainly all prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and includes GST. We accept Visa and Mastercards and can arrange our gift packages to be sent overseas by International Airmail. We will advise you of the delivery charges before any transactions are made.

Q6. What is your returns policy? At Baby Desserts we set a high standard of service and expect you to be 100% satisfied upon receipt of your order. If however you are less than satisfied and we cannot resolve the problem, we will happily refund your money, less the cost of freight within 14 days of purchase. We are here to listen and help, so once the goods are returned in their original condition, we will refund your credit card or send a cheque. Please make sure all care is taken when returning goods in a saleable condition. Peapod Cloth Nappies have a 30-day warranty and Swaddlebees and Mommy's Touch is 3 months warranty from date of purchase.

Q7. Do you provide instructions for the care of the products inside each dessert? Yes, due to the size and shape restriction of each dessert, some products have been carefully removed from their original packaging. The care instructions if required are underneath the ingredients or in a separate envelope inside the dessert box. We make sure every product is either labelled or included on the instructions list.

Q8. Can I use your images on my website or auction site or reprint them? Not without written permission from Baby Desserts. The Baby Desserts website is protected by copyright and any use or replication of the images or text from this website without prior consent by the Baby Desserts owner is an infringement. Please contact us for permission.

Q9. Where did you come up with the idea for Baby Desserts? Toni and her sister-in-law both wanted to work from home while raising their babies; they had lots of ideas for practical products for new mums and searched the web to find them. Some had already been invented and some are still on the drawing board. The "diaper cake" on "Sex and the City" (Miranda's Baby Shower) inspired them to expanded on an idea of using disposable nappies to look like cakes for Baby Showers. They wanted to create a practical alternative to flowers for parents and started experimenting with designs and then Tonis' sister-in-law and business partner fell pregnant with her second little boy .The partnership ended happily, and the sole-trader began. All the dessert designs are original and have grown out of an idea for presenting baby gifts using practical or recyclable packaging & ingredients. What's more practical than nappies for a newborn baby and Toni wanted a dessert uniquely for New Zealand? The Nappy Pavlova was created after many months of trial, error and sleepless nights which wasn't a good thing having a two-month-old baby and 20 month old toddler. Toni also wanted to offer a baby gift that looked impressive, had an impressive amount of useful baby products inside, and is affordable and so the Baby Desserts range was born including the Baby Sundae and Baby Birthcake. Tonis' sister-in-law still offers great support and advice and is doing a fantastic job of raising her two boys. And finally none of this would be possible without the support and love from Tonis' very understanding fiance' who is a wonderful daddy to their little girls and the inspiration behind the Nappy Toolbelt and Daddy's 1st Events Cake. Toni hopes the parents enjoy receiving the Baby Desserts as much as she enjoyed making them.
