Baby Desserts are designed and produced by Toni Hall, mother of three beautiful children (currently under 7 years) and supported by her remarkable partner Daniel. This home-based business grew from a simple desire to work from home, while bringing up children. Toni has a marketing, sales and administrative background in computers so most aspects of running a small web-based business from home was covered.

Each individual Baby Dessert was designed with practical ideas for gifts for new parents in mind.

"While flowers are beautiful, they aren't practical and with a new baby and being sleep deprived mine died within days of neglect"

The idea of a cake made from nappies was not new with elaborate examples on TV programmes such as "Sex in the City - Miranda's Baby Shower". So a cake which was full of practical & cute items and easy to send was created - the first being the Baby Birthcake or a "Baby Birthday Cake" and as with any idea there follows a whole range of gifts from Baby Sundaes, Nappy Pavlova, and Baby Muffins.

"I didn't want a gift that was full of packaging, so everything is usuable or recyclable"

Baby Desserts has gifts for everyone in the family - Grandparents, Dads, Mums, Baby and Twins

"I noticed a lot of gifts was aimed at Mum and Baby, but Dads can't be left out as they did have a hand in the production of the beautiful addition/s to the family and sometimes you know the Dad better than Mum" and with the help of her inspirational partner Daniel who was a natural at helping with nappy changes, winding, settling etc The Nappy Toolbelt was created with new Dads in mind

As rewashable cloth nappies have regained popularity, so did the need to reinvent the Nappy Toolbelt as the Cloth Nappy Toolbelt

As time goes on new products are added into the mix and some beautiful NZ Made or Designed products are available - Keepsake Bracelets, Bud Design T-Shirts, Buzzy Bee etc.

Baby Desserts is also the only website where you can buy on-line the NZ Designed Herb Holder as seen on TV One's Dragons Den in 2007.

Baby Desserts has two locations - Christchurch and Auckland. Auckland has limited stock and is run from Carol's Hairdressing Salon as mainly a distribution outlet. Carol is Toni's Mum and generously donates her time as a dessert maker, courier driver and wonderful grandmother.

All the desserts and gifts can be packaged up and sent nationwide or overseas.
